during the winter months, the United States experiences large winter storms from time to time.  These storms can be dangerous and beautiful at the same time.  It sometimes dumps large amounts of beautiful snow on the ground and can also be deadly to many people.  The composition starts off fast, dark, and furious and moves into the lighter side during the middle section and ending as it started.  Pay close attention to all articulations and dynamics throught the piece.  Maintain a perfect balance between winds and percussion.  The percussion section was written for groups who have many percussionists.  Enjoy your journey through The Winter Storm.
