AARON D. MCMICHAEL’S MUSIC

Aaron writes music for musicians at every level, from beginner to advanced high schools. His music evokes vivid imagery through wonderful texture and scoring, which allows the creative melodic and counter-melodic lines to truly engage both the performer and the audience.

Aaron D. McMichael

Mr. McMichael has written 70 pieces of music for band.  His pieces have been performed at the Texas Band Masters Association, William Carey University, University of Northern Colorado, the Indiana Music Educators Association, as well as The Midwest Clinic in Chicago.

He has 15 J.W. Pepper Editors’ choices and 5 brand new pieces landing on the Texas PML.  Recently, his piece “Witch Hunt” was a Grand Mesa composition winner, placed in the Bandworld Top 100 pieces, and was world premiered at the University of Northern Colorado under the direction of Dr. Broadnax and premiered at the International Band Directors Convention.
