set in the jungles of Brazil, you are surrounded by villagers who are starting a trible stomp. The percussion and low winds bring us into the celebration of the trees still standing around them. The winds and percussion play in celebration and then leads us into the percussion feature in the middle section. This piece is set in G minor and 4/4 time. You will need to have a percussion section who can help set the tempo for the band. Pay close attention to dynamic shaping and accents around the piece. There are small sections for lyrical playing! Make sure you and your students are balancing the percussion vs. the winds! There are times the percussion can be over bearing to the band. Lastly, enjoy the foot stomps!
